ZAFİR PLUS

Zafir Plus is an aluminum titanium nitride (AlTiN / TiAlN) based PVD coating, the recipe of which has been specially developed by TITANIT, and intermediate surface properties of which has been optimized for both cutting tool and mold applications. It has very high hardness and temperature resistance. For this reason, it offers excellent wear resistance and long tool life under high temperatures. Thanks to these properties, it is successfully applied in cutting tools used in machining of tool steels, in hard metal tips working at high speeds, in dry chip removal operations or where inadequate cooling exists, in the process of hard workpieces with short chips, in cutting dies of hard sheets, and in metal injection and extrusion molds working under high temperatures.
