The Watano K11 universal lathe chuck features a spheroidal (ductile/nodular) cast iron body engineered to withstand the demanding conditions of workshop and industrial machining environments. Compared to standard grey cast iron, spheroidal graphite iron delivers significantly higher tensile strength and impact resistance, allowing the chuck to hold up under heavy loads and continuous use without deforming over time. One of the chuck's standout qualities is its vibration-damping performance. The spheroidal cast body absorbs machining vibrations effectively, keeping the lathe running smoothly and steadily — which translates directly into better surface finish and tighter machining tolerances on finished parts. Reduced vibration also slows down general wear on both the chuck and the machine, extending overall service life. Thanks to its self-centering jaw mechanism, workpieces are automatically positioned at true center in a single motion, delivering excellent concentricity. All three jaws move simultaneously via a single pinion/scroll drive, allowing fast and secure clamping of cylindrical, triangular, and hexagonal workpieces alike. This significantly reduces part-loading and unloading time, boosting operator efficiency and minimizing setup errors. The Watano K11 chuck mounts easily onto universal lathe spindles via a flange connection, and is equally suitable for use on milling machines, dividing heads (dividers), and rotary tables.
