ROBERT RÖNTGEN M42 RÖNTGEN Bi-Alfa Cobalt band saw blades feature an HSS-M42 (1.3247) cutting edge structure. The high wear resistance of this model is derived from very hard and evenly distributed carbides formed at the tooth tips during the hardening and tempering process. The martensitic structure of the tooth tips, combined with a high cobalt content, provides excellent heat resistance and toughness while reducing wear rates at high cutting speeds. Additionally, the high-chrome alloy backing allows the blade to withstand extreme tensile stresses and guide pressure.
