“Every mold shop should have a die spotting press.” Millutensil die spotting presses are test machines that allow you to spot and fit molds with extremely high precision before putting them into production on an injection molding machine. They enable easy and safe inspection of both the upper and lower mold surfaces, helping you detect existing defects and correct them conveniently and safely on the spotting press itself. If there are dimensional deviations too large to be corrected by hand tools, lapping, or grinding, the mold can be sent back for mechanical machining. The defects can then be properly eliminated through welding, CNC machining, or grinding before the mold is put into operation.
