Product Description

Carbide burrs are rotary cutting tools made from solid tungsten carbide, offering exceptional hardness and wear resistance. They are an essential solution in metalworking for tasks requiring high precision — deburring, surface finishing, contour shaping, and mold cavity machining. Their hardness far exceeds that of standard HSS cutters, delivering stable, long-lasting cutting performance even on demanding materials such as hardened steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and aluminum. A Wide Range of Shapes for Every Application Carbide burrs are manufactured in a variety of geometries, each optimized for a specific type of work: Type A (Cylindrical): Ideal for flat surface machining and contour finishing. Type B (Cylindrical, End Cutting): Features cutting edges on the end face as well, suited for edge angling and contour creation. Type C (Cylindrical, Radius End): Preferred for machining curved surfaces at the correct angle. Type D (Ball Shape): Used for rounding edges and preparatory work before welding. Type E (Oval/Egg Shape): Suited for removing and rounding edges. Type F (Tree Shape, Radius/Ball End): Delivers excellent results when grinding rounded edges in narrow, elongated positions. Type G (Tree Shape, Pointed End): Provides precise shaping in tight spaces and corners. Type H (Flame Shape): Effective for machining rounded edges. Type J-K (Cone Shape): Functions similarly to a countersink; ideal for chamfering inside holes. Type L-M-N (Cone, Rounded/Pointed): Used for precision contour and arc-shape machining. Applications Carbide burrs are used across a broad range of industries: mold and pattern cavity shaping in die/mold manufacturing, rust removal and edge finishing in the automotive sector, post-weld cleanup and surface finishing in shipbuilding and construction, heavy-duty deburring in industrial environments, and decorative carving and detailing in woodworking. Usage Recommendations Depending on the material being worked, an operating speed of roughly 20,000-60,000 RPM is generally recommended. Deep cuts should be made in gradual passes rather than in a single pass, at least two-thirds of the shank should be secured in the chuck, and protective eyewear, gloves, and a mask should be worn during use — all essential for both safety and precision. Key Features: Solid tungsten carbide body – high hardness and extended tool life Wide range of shapes from Type A to N – a solution for every application Broad material compatibility: steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum Multi-industry use across mold making, automotive, shipbuilding, and heavy industry Low vibration and clean chip evacuation even at high speeds Available in multiple diameters, lengths, and shank options
